Corrosion-Free FRP, Engineered to Last
Crimar Composites LLC manufactures pultruded fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) products — rebar, structural profiles, grating, plant support stakes, and accessories — for industrial environments where steel corrodes and fails. We pair US-based engineering and customer support with established FRP manufacturing in Los Angeles, USA, backed by global production capacity, so our clients get sound specification help and competitive, on-time delivery.
Part of the Crimar Group
Established in 2024, Crimar Composites is the pultrusion arm of the Crimar group of companies, which has served industrial clients since 1988 — more than 35 years supplying FRP and heavy industrial equipment to mining, mineral processing, smelting & refining, cement, power, water-treatment, and chemical plants worldwide.
Across the group, two complementary FRP processes cover virtually any requirement:
Hand Lay-Up FRP
Sister companies Crimar Industrial / Crimar FRP fabricate large custom tanks, vessels, ductwork, scrubbers, and covers to ASME RTP-1 in Hermosillo, Mexico and at its overseas facilities.
Pultruded FRP
Crimar Composites continuously produces dimensionally consistent rebar, structural profiles, grating, and accessories — the focus of this company.
One relationship therefore covers both engineered custom fabrications and standardized product lines — backed by a group track record with clients including FLSmidth, Glencore, Hatch, Codelco, BHP, Freeport-McMoRan, and Biorem.
What We Make
corrosion-proof concrete reinforcement that never rusts.
structural shapes: I-beam, channel, angle, tube, flat bar, and rod.
slip-resistant, corrosion-proof walking and working surfaces.
pipe, fittings, flanges, and custom spools.
UV-stable stakes for vineyards, orchards, and nurseries.
clips, fasteners, and connection hardware in FRP and 316 stainless.
Our Process: Pultrusion
Pultrusion is a continuous manufacturing process in which glass fibers are saturated with resin and pulled through a heated die. The result is FRP with a consistent cross-section, high lengthwise strength, and an excellent surface finish — produced repeatably, at scale.
Compared with steel and aluminum, our pultruded FRP is corrosion-proof, about one-quarter of the weight, non-conductive, and non-magnetic — ideal for the harshest service environments. Resin systems (polyester, vinyl-ester, and fire-retardant) and surface options are selected to match each application. When a project needs large custom vessels or ductwork beyond standard profiles, we draw on the group’s hand lay-up capability — so one supplier can cover both standardized and fully custom FRP scopes.
Engineering & Technical Team
Crimar Composites is led by an experienced FRP engineering and project team that bridges US-based engineering and customer support with hands-on manufacturing expertise in China. From material selection and product design to tooling and quality control, the same team guides your project end to end — drawing on decades of group experience across both pultrusion and hand lay-up FRP.
Manufacturing & Global Footprint
- Headquarters & engineering: Tucson, Arizona, USA
- Pultrusion manufacturing: Los Angeles, California, USA — backed by global production capacity
- Group FRP fabrication: Hermosillo, Mexico, plus international capacity
- Sales & support offices: Toronto (Canada) · Antofagasta (Chile) · Lima (Peru)
Quality & Standards
- Pultruded products referenced to applicable standards — e.g., ASTM D7957 and ACI 440 for GFRP rebar.
- Group FRP fabrications built to ASME RTP-1.
- Disciplined quality control: material traceability, in-process checks, and per-batch inspection before shipment.
